Criteo Announces New Head of Marketing and Communications for the US

Criteo, the global leader in performance display advertising, today announced that Tom Burg has joined the company as its new U.S. Head of Marketing and Communications. A veteran marketer within the online advertising community, Tom brings over 10 years’ experience in marketing for several of the industry's leading advertising technology platforms, including DoubleClick, Quigo, and Akamai’s acerno network.

“Criteo is poised to generate significant growth in the US Market in 2012,” said Greg Coleman, President of Criteo. “As such, I am pleased to welcome Tom to Criteo, as he’ll provide us with a wealth of experience in defining online advertising technology benefits to the end customer. He’ll help us further penetrate business-to-business advertiser and publisher audiences with a cohesive marketing message.”

Tom joins Criteo from Solve Media, where he was CMO, overseeing all marketing and communications. Prior to that, he was the product marketing director for Akamai’s Advertising Decision Solutions, bringing the original offering to market and helping define and communicate the value proposition for retailers, brand marketers and agencies. Before joining Akamai, Tom was head of product marketing for DoubleClick, overseeing that group before and during its transition to Google while helping bring more than a dozen ad serving products to market.

"I'm excited to be joining the amazing team at Criteo," said Mr. Burg. "It's clear that performance display advertising is poised for tremendous growth both domestically and globally. I look forward to showing, not telling, businesses about the results we generate. I’ve followed this company with admiration for a while now and it’s exciting to have this opportunity to join a proven winner."
