The approach combines ultrasound-assisted liposuction and abdominal muscle repair, with intravenous anaesthesia and 12 months of postoperative aftercare
-- Delta Clinics has introduced a 3D tummy tuck approach for patients in London, combining VASER ultrasound-assisted liposuction with abdominal muscle repair for circumferential body contouring. The approach is designed for post-pregnancy patients with persistent muscle separation and loose skin, as well as patients managing excess tissue following substantial weight loss.
The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons recorded 2,997 abdominoplasty procedures in its 2024 annual audit, placing tummy tucks fourth among the procedures recorded. Patients considering the 3D tummy tuck are assessed individually, with treatment planning based on fat distribution, skin quality and underlying anatomy. For patients with more extensive excess skin and tissue, Delta Clinics also offers an extended tummy tuck, which addresses a wider area of the torso.
Alongside the surgical technique, Delta Clinics has adopted Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA) for appropriate candidates. The clinic has also introduced a mandatory 12-month post-operative aftercare plan that includes unlimited nurse visits, intended to give patients ongoing clinical support throughout their recovery.
Abdominoplasty surgery, whether performed as a standard, 3D or extended procedure, remains a major surgical operation that requires significant downtime and carries inherent medical risks. Individual results vary according to each patient's anatomy and health. A formal consultation is required to assess a patient's suitability for any tummy tuck procedure before surgery is scheduled. The consultation covers medical history, including previous abdominal surgery, the patient's goals and the potential risks of the procedure.
Delta Clinics also offers body, breast and facial procedures. Its London locations include 96 Harley Street and 4 Hendon Lane in Finchley. Further information on the full range of procedures is available via Delta Clinics.
