New fund seeks exposure to six U.S. megacap technology and growth companies

Global X Management Company LLC (“Global X”), the New York-based provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), today announced the launch of the Global X Magnificent Six ETF (ticker SIX).

SIX (“the Fund”) seeks to provide exposure to the Magnificent Six, a group of technology and growth companies that currently consists of Alphabet Inc.; Amazon.com, Inc.; Apple Inc.; Meta Platforms, Inc.; Microsoft Corporation; and NVIDIA Corporation.

“These six companies have been a significant contributor to recent U.S. earnings growth," said Pedro Palandrani, Head of Product Research & Development at Global X. "Over the 12 months ending September 30, 2026, they delivered almost two-thirds – roughly 66% – of the Bloomberg 500 Index's earnings per share growth over the trailing 12 months.[i] And these six companies could invest, based on current estimates, approximately $700 billion in capital expenditures in 2026 and $1 trillion in 2027, with much of that spending expected to go toward AI.”[ii]

Palandrani noted that the group’s combined capital spending positions these companies among the largest builders of AI infrastructure.

“The scale of these six companies may allow them to reinvest at a pace few businesses can match, which could potentially help support their earnings power over time,” he added.

Global X has more than 30 thematic ETFs designed to target companies involved in disruptive innovation and structural change. The line-up includes funds that invest in fields ranging from infrastructure development and electrification to robotics, cybersecurity, and data centers. The firm’s largest technology fund is the Artificial Intelligence & Technology ETF (ticker AIQ), with $9.7 billion in assets under management as of October 30, 2026.

SIX and four other recently launched ETFs seek to provide investors with targeted exposure to specialized areas of technology and innovation through a single ETF. The other concentrated funds are as follows:

  • Global X MLCC & Electronic Components ETF (MLCC) is actively managed and seeks to provide exposure to companies involved in the production, manufacturing, and enabling equipment of multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) and the broader electronic components industry; MLCCs are components that store electrical energy within electronic circuits.
  • Global X LLM ETF (LLMA) is actively managed and seeks to provide exposure to the companies building and deploying large language models (LLMs), as well as those developing products and services based on those models.
  • Global X Asia Semiconductor ETF (ACHP) is passively managed and seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Global X Asia Semiconductor Index, which is designed to track Asian-listed companies in the semiconductor ecosystem, including those involved in semiconductor chip manufacturing as well as semiconductor design and related intellectual property and software enablement.
  • Global X Small Modular Reactor ETF (SMRZ) is actively managed and seeks to provide targeted exposure to the companies designing, building, and fueling small modular reactors (SMRs), compact fission reactors designed to be fabricated in factories, transported to a site, and assembled on a modular basis.

As an actively managed fund, SIX seeks capital appreciation through economic exposure to the companies comprising the group of companies known as the Magnificent Six. Under normal circumstances, the Fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in the securities of Magnificent Six companies and in financial instruments and other investments that provide exposure to, or in combination have economic characteristics similar or equivalent to, those of the Magnificent Six. The Fund expects to gain economic exposure through swap agreements and other derivative instruments and may also hold the common stock of Magnificent Six companies directly. The Adviser seeks to weight the Fund’s exposure by free float market capitalization.

Narrowly focused investments may be subject to higher volatility. There can be no guarantee that SIX’s, SMRZ’s, LLMA’s or MLCC’s active management strategies and processes will be successful.

The companies in which each of LLMA, MLCC, ACHP and AIQ invests may be subject to rapid changes in technology, intense competition, rapid obsolescence of products and services, and changes in business cycles and government regulation.

International investments may involve risk of capital loss from unfavorable fluctuation in currency values, from differences in generally accepted accounting principles or from social, economic or political instability in other nations. Emerging markets involve heightened risks related to the same factors as well as increased volatility and lower trading volume.

LLMA and ACHP’s A-Share investments via the Stock Connect Programs are subject to trading, clearance and settlement procedures that are relatively untested in mainland China, daily purchase quotas that may cause buy orders to be rejected, and the risk that securities lose Stock Connect eligibility. Stock Connect is subject to further interpretation, and there is no assurance that it will continue or that changes in laws, regulations, policies or tax rules will not adversely affect investments or returns.

Investments in Chinese securities may subject LLMA, ACHP and SMRZ to legal, regulatory, political, currency, security, and economic risks specific to China, including economic, political and social instability; pervasive government control of, and intervention in, companies and industries; and trade tensions, tariffs, sanctions, cyber-related disputes and other geopolitical conflicts. Chinese companies, including those listed on U.S. exchanges, are subject to less stringent regulatory, accounting and auditor oversight requirements, so information about them may be less reliable or complete, and shareholders may have limited legal remedies. Investments may be lost through expropriation or restrictions on foreign investment and repatriation of capital.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Outbound Investment Security Program and related laws such as the COINS Act restrict or require notification (or will when fully implemented) of certain U.S. person investments in entities linked to countries of concern (including China, Hong Kong and Macau) that are engaged in specified activities involving semiconductors, quantum technologies, certain artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and hypersonic systems. Some transactions, including certain transactions in publicly traded securities and certain derivatives, are excepted, subject to conditions. These rules are evolving and may expand to cover additional sectors, countries or transactions or narrow or eliminate existing exemptions, which could limit MLCC, LLMA, ACHP and SMRZ’s ability to invest in certain companies, require divestment of existing holdings or notification to the U.S. Treasury, increase diligence and reporting costs, and adversely affect the Fund’s performance, value or liquidity.

Newly listed companies typically have limited trading history and less publicly available information about their operations and performance. Their prices may be highly volatile or decline shortly after listing, and direct listing or IPO shares are subject to heightened market and liquidity risk and may involve high transaction costs.

Swap agreements are contracts between the applicable Fund (SIX, LLMA, MLCC and SMRZ) and a counterparty to exchange the return of an underlying investment and may involve greater risks than direct investment in securities. Many swaps trade over the counter and may be illiquid, so the Fund may be unable to close a swap position at an advantageous time or price, which may result in significant losses. Swaps are also subject to counterparty credit, correlation, valuation, liquidity and leverage risks.

Shares of ETFs are bought and sold at market price (not NAV) and are not individually redeemed from the Fund. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns.
