October 21 NLH and PLO final tables include a six-figure return and two top-five finishes.
-- Three Brazilian poker players reached the October 21 final tables of the Dual Venom Progressive Knockout (PKO) events at Americas Cardroom. The $6.5 million guaranteed online poker events saw Victor Pedote finish seventh in No-Limit Hold’em (NLH), José Orlando fourth in Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO), and Yuri Martins Dzivielevski fifth in PLO.
Pedote, known as “meteli goli,” received approximately $104,088 with bounties included. His $65,318.64 regular payout came from the $2,650 buy-in NLH Venom PKO, which drew 2,143 entries and a $5,357,500 prize pool. Pedote went out against “Lappy” after his ace-four of hearts ran into ace-jack and a rivered full house.
In PLO, Orlando (“Blessed33,” also known as “Orlandinho”) started the seven-handed final table fourth in chips with 35,541,239 and earned about $82,743 including bounties. He folded a full house on a king-jack-three-king-seven board after “Juantman,” holding a higher full house, raised the river. Orlando later lost to eventual PLO champion “tigerseyes.” Dzivielevski (“vousconfus”), a six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, began second in chips and earned approximately $72,633.
Orlando and Dzivielevski also made the April PLO Mystery Bounty Venom final table, finishing third for $205,380 and sixth for $96,282, including bounties. The October PKO format paid half of each eliminated opponent’s bounty immediately, with the other half added to the eliminator’s bounty.
