As Members, they will continue to play an important role in advancing McDonald Hopkins’ growth, strengthening client relationships and supporting the communities we serve.

“Just as importantly, they’ve each made a meaningful impact on McDonald Hopkins as a whole. They represent the future of our firm, and it’s exciting to see them take this next step. I’m looking forward to watching them continue to grow, take on new challenges and help shape McDonald Hopkins,” added Jim Giszczak, Co-President of McDonald Hopkins.

Adam Baginski is part of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions group. His practice is focused on advising clients in a variety of industries, including private equity funds, in complex transactional matters, such as domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, distressed acquisitions and dispositions, and other business transactions. His services include due diligence support, drafting and negotiating principal transaction documents and ancillary agreements, and general strategic advice.

Karen Bridges is in the national Data Privacy and Cybersecurity team with experience handling hundreds of cyber incidents and data breaches and class actions relating to data breaches. Her practice includes helping clients respond to data breaches, cyber-attacks, ransomware incidents and business email compromise situations. In addition to her work handling incident response matters, Karen helps clients navigate new and evolving AI-related laws. This includes monitoring AI legislation worldwide, assisting with the preparation of AI governance documents and evaluating new AI systems.

“It means a great deal to me that my colleagues at McDonald Hopkins selected me to become a Member. Being part of McDonald Hopkins enabled me to expand my practice into AI law while still maintaining my work in incident response. Thank you to all my friends and colleagues for making this possible,” she said.

Kelly Campbell is also a member of the national Data Privacy and Cybersecurity group. She advises clients in a wide variety of industries on preparing for and addressing cybersecurity and data privacy matters. Her work includes assisting companies with the investigation of data security incidents, compliance with data breach notification obligations, and post-breach responses. Kelly regularly represents clients in state and federal investigations that arise from data privacy incidents. Additionally, she counsels clients in crisis communications and management issues, cybersecurity-related due diligence concerns, and resolving privacy-related contract negotiations.

“McDonald Hopkins fosters an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture that I experienced from my first day at the firm. Our attorneys are committed to honing our craft, expanding our capabilities, and delivering the best results possible for our clients. The mentorship and support of my colleagues have shaped my career, and I look forward to serving clients and contributing to the firm’s success in this new role,” Kelly said.

Drew Hayes is an experienced intellectual property attorney who focuses his practice on cutting-edge patent, trademark, and internet issues, including worldwide IP portfolio development, procurement, and enforcement. His recent work includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications directed to AI and machine learning inventions — from AI-based industrial process control to autonomous navigation and large language model applications for vehicle infotainment. He prosecutes U.S. and foreign patents across a variety of industries, has extensive experience obtaining and enforcing trademarks in the United States and abroad, and handles M&A IP due diligence and internet enforcement matters.

“I am honored to become a Member of McDonald Hopkins and am particularly proud to be a part of our high-performing Executive Compensation and Governance practice group. The firm has provided me with the unique platform to tackle sophisticated executive compensation matters while also developing my own client and business relationships.
