SANTA MONICA, CA / ACCESS Newswire / October 28, 2026 / The Santa Monica Family YMCA will host its annual Halloween Spooktacular on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 1332 6th Street in its 9,000 sq. ft. gymnasium. The free, family-friendly event brings neighbors and local businesses together for an evening of costumes, games, and more. Families are invited to arrive in costume and ready to have fun.

This year's festival features a costume runway, bounce houses, face painting, active games, crafts, rock wall climbing, and a Thriller dance-off. Local businesses and service providers will staff guest booths with activities for children and parents to enjoy.

"The Halloween Spooktacular is one of our biggest community events each year," said Hodge Patterson, CEO, Santa Monica Family YMCA. "We want every family in Santa Monica to feel welcome. We're excited to create a safe space to spend family time, meet your neighbors, and enjoy Halloween as a community."

At last year's Spooktacular, the YMCA gym filled with costumed families, local businesses, and community members.
