PAPHOS, CY / ACCESS Newswire / October 22, 2026 / Selzy, an email marketing platform for solopreneurs and small businesses, announced the launch of Selzy MCP, a server that connects AI assistants to email marketing tools and account data.

The integration allows business owners to manage key stages of email marketing - from audience segmentation and campaign creation to performance analysis - through conversations with AI assistants such as Claude. In Selzy's internal testing, preparing a segmented campaign from an existing newsletter took five minutes using MCP, compared with 20 minutes manually.

Bringing email marketing into AI-powered workflows

AI assistants can help businesses write marketing copy, generate campaign ideas and plan promotions. But without access to actual customer data and marketing tools, users still need to switch between applications to put those ideas into action. Selzy MCP aims to close that gap by giving AI assistants access to the tools and account context needed to carry out email marketing tasks.

The launch is particularly relevant for small businesses operating without dedicated marketing teams. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy, nearly 30 million U.S. businesses have no employees other than their owners, accounting for approximately 82.3% of all U.S. small businesses. For these business owners, preparing a newsletter often competes with sales, customer service, and day-to-day operations.

Selzy's internal platform data also highlights the limited use of audience segmentation. Of 354,737 email campaigns recorded from the beginning of 2026 through mid-October, only 5,857 - approximately 1.65% - targeted segmented audiences. By making segmentation and campaign preparation accessible through natural-language requests, Selzy aims to reduce the effort required to create more targeted email communications.

From AI conversations to email marketing execution

Built on Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that connects AI applications to external systems and data, Selzy MCP provides 56 tools covering campaign preparation, execution and analysis.

The integration supports three core workflows:

1. Audience segmentation through natural-language requests

Instead of manually configuring multiple filters, users can describe the audience they want to reach. For example, a business owner can ask an AI assistant to find subscribers who opened an email within the last 30 days but have not clicked a link within the last 60 days. The assistant can use the available contact data and segmentation tools in Selzy to create a saved audience segment, allowing the owner to prepare more targeted follow-up campaigns without configuring each filter manually.

2. Campaign preparation and launch through AI assistants

Users can ask an AI assistant to prepare a promotional email based on an existing newsletter or saved template, update its content and check the campaign before sending. The assistant can run a spam check, count recipients, verify the sender address and check available sending capacity. Once the campaign is ready, the user can review and confirm the send or schedule it for later. This brings multiple stages of campaign preparation into a single conversational workflow while keeping the final sending decision with the user.

3. Campaign analysis using existing marketing data

Selzy MCP also allows AI assistants to access campaign history and performance metrics. For example, users can ask which three of their last ten newsletters generated the highest click-through rates. The assistant can compare results using data from the user's Selzy account, helping business owners review past performance and make decisions about future campaigns without manually reviewing individual reports.

Making AI a practical interface for small business marketing

"Small business owners need customers to come back and buy again, but many handle every newsletter themselves alongside sales, orders and customer service," said Andrew Dyuzhov, Marketing Director at Selzy. "With Selzy MCP, an owner can ask the assistant to follow up with people who engaged with a recent offer, prepare the email, and check it before sending. We want owners to spend their time deciding which customers to reach and what to offer them, while AI handles the campaign setup. That is how we see email marketing becoming practical for a business with no marketing team."

Users review campaigns and confirm each send in the chat. Campaigns remain subject to Selzy's standard moderation and account checks, and scheduled sends can be canceled before they start. Building automations, uploading files directly, creating forms and landing pages, and setting up A/B tests remain in the Selzy interface.

Rather than replacing the email marketing platform, MCP creates another way to interact with it. Customer data, campaign history and sending tools remain within Selzy, while AI assistants provide a conversational interface for supported tasks. Functions including automation creation, direct file uploads, forms, landing pages, and A/B test setup remain available through the Selzy interface.

Availability

Selzy MCP is available now on all Selzy plans. The integration has been tested with Claude and Claude Code and is compatible with AI applications that support custom MCP connections.
