Through its oversight and services, Unisys is committed to making the 2008 convention the most technically advanced convention in Republican Party history. Unisys will have a full-time staff focused on managing the conventions IT infrastructure. The Unisys staff will provide services including equipment installation and changes, help desk and on-site support, as well as project management and vendor coordination.

We are pleased to have Unisys, a trusted provider of technology services to government and businesses, as our information technology support provider for this years convention, especially given the companys strong presence in the state of Minnesota, said Maria Cino, president and chief executive officer of the convention. With the support of Unisys, our goal this year is to establish a benchmark for the advanced use of IT in support of our national convention.

The server computers supporting the convention will be physically housed in a remote data center in Eagan, Minnesota, while Unisys professionals manage and monitor the servers from the Unisys data center in Eagan, Minnesota.
