Unisys Wins Contract to Provide Professional and Technical Services for Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture Program

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has awarded Unisys a contract to provide professional and technical services supporting the DOJs Asset Forfeiture Program (AFP), a nationwide law enforcement program that manages assets forfeited in the prosecution of criminals and criminal enterprises.

Unisys is one of four companies to be awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. Unisys is eligible to compete for task orders to provide a range of services to AFP management and field professionals. The services include investigative and analytical services, consulting, technical services, and case-related professional support during the investigation and prosecution of criminal cases. The IDIQ contract has a six-month base period and six one-year options, exercisable at the discretion of the government.

The contract will enable Unisys to continue its long-standing support of the DOJ in its law enforcement efforts. Unisys has been providing IT support services for the AFP since 2002. In addition, in 2007 Unisys received a blanket purchase agreement for continued support of the DOJs Consolidated Asset Tracking System, which tracks, monitors, and reports on assets seized and forfeited in the course of law enforcement work. http://www.unisys.com/about__unisys/news_a_events/01238747.htm

We are pleased to continue supporting the Department of Justice in this critical program, said Ted Davies, managing partner, civilian agencies, Unisys Federal Systems. Unisys offers a great deal of domain expertise in helping agencies use information to fight crime, and we look forward to continuing to work with the department and other agencies to achieve their law enforcement missions.
