100 Black Men of Las Vegas, TrimCare Med + Wellness, and Nevada Bio-Hazard Decon Team to provide free physicals to middle and high school students in at the UNR – Extension A. D. Guy Knowledge Center

Las Vegas, NV, USA – On October 27, 2021, a community service project aimed at providing free physicals for middle and high school students; diabetes testing; and COVID-19 exams at the UNR – Extension A. D. Guy Knowledge Center located at 817 N Street, Las Vegas, NV 89106.

 

Volunteer physicians and nurses from TrimCare Med + Wellness, will be providing free physicals to students. Nevada Bio-Hazard Decon Team will be providing free PPE and hand sanitizer to students and adults who attend the event.

Runners, cheerleaders, dancers, basketball and ice hockey players are screened for vision and hearing heart blood pressure and pulse as well as general health. In addition, the student athletes and their parents will receive education on injury prevention and information about COVID-19, diabetes, and management of other medical conditions.

Vinay Bararia, the owner and Administrator of TrimCare Med + Wellness, explains, “The purpose of providing free testing is to make athletics possible for all of our school student athletes. Our true mission is to keep these young athletes healthy and safe.”

Southern Nevada Community Health Center; Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield: Health Insurance; Nevada Women in Trades; Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority; Nevada Bio-Hazard Decon Team, Med + Wellness, and the University of Nevada, Reno – Extension will be participating and providing valuable healthcare information.

The Community Health Project was spearheaded by, Douglas Gibson of 100 Black Men of Las Vegas; Vinay Bararia of TrimCare Med + Wellness; and Kenneth Cottrell of Nevada Bio-Hazard Decon Team.

The 100 Black Men of Las Vegas proud to be a community partner with the UNR – Extension A. D. Guy Knowledge Center. The number one focus of the 100 Black Men of Las Vegas is mentoring youth.
