EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Premier travel retailer Hudson Group is pleased to announce that aviation industry veteran Reg Milley has joined the company's Advisory Board of Directors.
Mr. Milley, who led two top Canadian airports – Edmonton International (EIA, 2005-2014) and Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ, 2000-2005) – to record growth, retired from aviation last year. Since then, he has led Edmonton's bid to host the Commonwealth Games in 2022, among other community-based endeavours.
During Mr. Milley's tenure as President & CEO of EIA, the airport grew significantly, gaining 15 more non-stop destinations and growing its commercial capacity by 40%. The airport successfully added a passenger-friendly new terminal that offers 50% more space, including double the number of shops and services offered to passengers.
Said Hudson Group Retail Founder Mario DiDomizio, who chairs the advisory board: "We greatly respect Reg Milley and know that he will be a great asset to our team. His vast airport management experience will help Hudson to better understand how airports think so that we can enhance customer service and become better partners with airports across North America."
Noted Mr. Milley: "I have had the pleasure of working with the Hudson team for the past 15 years. They are a world class organization, and I look forward to contributing my ideas and suggestions through the advisory board."
