Meredith Goldman and Fabien Magalon Join Criteo to Further Strengthen US and European Real Time Bidding Publisher Teams

Criteo, the global leader in performance display advertising, today announced the appointment of Meredith Goldman as Director of Real Time Bidding (RTB) to further strengthen its New York based team. The announcement complements the recent addition of Fabien Magalon as European Director of RTB. Together, they enhance Criteo’s reputation as the global leader in this rapidly evolving method of buying media inventory.

Criteo is committed to providing its advertisers with the maximum amount of profitable revenue, through constant investment in new technologies. All Criteo’s buying is real-time, based on the Criteo Engine able to make real-time decisions based on hundreds of variables. Criteo connects this Engine to its publishers through a variety of technologies including Real Time Bidding. Criteo has been a leader in RTB technology since its inception. Every aspect of Criteo’s real time bidding is built in-house, to ensure maximum speed and performance. This includes its own dedicated fiber network that transverses the globe, and Criteo data centers in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Today, Criteo is the largest buyer of RTB globally on many platforms, and responds to more than four billion requests every day.

Criteo employs over 90 people dedicated full-time to developing publisher relationships, and almost half of Criteo’s 200 engineers are focused on creating technology solutions for buying inventory.

Jonathan Wolf, Chief Buying Officer at Criteo, said: “Real Time Bidding is a highly sophisticated and technologically efficient solution: it will become an inevitable part of every large publisher’s adserving solution. Meredith and Fabien come from two of the leaders in the RTB Ad Exchange space, and we are delighted that having seen our scale and sophistication as buyers, they decided to join us. They bring a wealth of experience to a strong team, helping to strengthen our reputation as an industry leader. We believe that their understanding of the media buying landscape will only increase the performance that we can provide for our advertisers.”

Meredith joins an experienced and dedicated team, and adds significant exchange experience, having joined Right Media Exchange at the time of the Yahoo acquisition. Most recently, during her time at AppNexus, Meredith was responsible for managing the company’s relationship with Microsoft. Meredith will help to expand Criteo’s current platform and to further enhance its position as global leader, enabling Criteo to serve opportunities for RTB to its 2,000 clients in all 30 markets.

Meredith Goldman said: “I am thrilled to join the team at Criteo, a proven leader and innovator in the performance display environment. I saw from the other side the scale and sophistication of Criteo’s buying, and wanted to join the team. It’s an exciting time for advertisers as we take advantage of the automation offered through real-time bidding to make display perform like search.“

In Europe, Fabien Magalon joined from Rubicon Project, where he was Publisher Development Director, responsible for Rubicon’s entry and rapid growth in the French market. During his tenure, Fabien was responsible for the development and growth of many of Rubicon’s publisher partnerships. Prior to that, he was with Microsoft Media Network as Director of Operations for France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Holland.
