KidGlov Advertising Agency Podcast Hosts Women in Sustainability Co-Founder, Becky Migas

KidGlov, a boutique, full-service advertising, branding and content marketing agency based out of Lincoln and Omaha, Neb., recently welcomed Becky Migas, co-founder and Chief CARE Connector of Women in Sustainability, to its podcast, Agency for Change. The episode explored how the nonprofit organization is working to amplify women's voices in the environmental space.

"Recent studies have shown that women are more likely than men to adopt sustainability habits but are still underrepresented in discussions around climate change. Becky Migas and her nonprofit, Women in Sustainability, are trying to change all that," said Katherine Warren, KidGlov chief operating officer. "It was great to hear Becky’s perspective around gender and climate on the Agency for Change podcast. A must listen for anyone interested in sustainability.”

Women in Sustainability, located in Denver, Colo., is an inclusive nonprofit that brings together women and allies who are passionate about sustainability. The environmental movement has not always been inclusive. Women in Sustainability is committed to changing that. It's not possible to talk about climate justice without talking about social justice, and thus, ALL voices are needed at the table to face the reality of how the climate crisis has impacted communities and how best to create meaningful change that benefits all groups including, BIPOC, LGBTQIIA+, people with disabilities, and anyone who’s felt left out of the sustainability conversation.

During the Agency for Change episode, Migas discussed how they're crafting an inclusive community, why community is so important in environmental discussions and how to get involved in the work they're doing.

"Women in Sustainability is about finding a support system, coming together, and having the conversation about driving sustainability forward," said Migas.
