Renewal extends nearly two decades of collaboration and continues exclusive rewards program for readers nationwide
Barclays US Consumer Bank today announced the long‑term renewal of its exclusive co‑branded credit card partnership with Barnes & Noble, the nation’s largest retail bookseller. The renewed agreement reinforces a collaboration that has delivered meaningful value to book lovers since 2006 and continues to provide cardmembers with rewards designed specifically for Barnes & Noble customers.
The Barnes & Noble Mastercard®, exclusively issued by Barclays, offers tailored benefits for dedicated readers, including 5% back on Barnes & Noble and Paper Source purchases, automatic Barnes & Noble Gift Card rewards, dining rewards, and premium membership incentives. The renewed partnership ensures the continuation of these valuable benefits for Barnes & Noble shoppers across physical stores and online at bn.com.
“Barnes & Noble is an iconic American brand with a deeply loyal customer base, and we are proud to extend one of Barclays’ longest-standing co-branded partnerships,” said Doug Villone, head of cards and partnerships, Barclays US Consumer Bank. “For two decades, we’ve worked together to design a card program that rewards customers for doing what they love most – discovering books, authors, and ideas – while delivering meaningful, everyday value.”
Since its launch, the Barnes & Noble Mastercard has focused on rewarding frequent shoppers with a simple and compelling structure that aligns closely with how customers engage with the brand.
“Barnes & Noble is very pleased to continue to work with Barclays to offer its customers such a compelling credit card proposition,” said James Daunt, CEO of Barnes & Noble. “The Barnes & Noble Mastercard®, exclusively issued by Barclays, has proved its enduring popularity with our bookstore customers.”
Key features of the Barnes & Noble Mastercard include:
