This prestigious "Best of the Valley" recognition, now in its 33rd year, honors Tamari for its commitment to craft, precision, and passion in Japanese cuisine.
Founded in 2017, Tamari has spent the last eight years evolving into Fresno’s premier gathering place for authentic robatayaki and world-class sushi. The award comes as the restaurant continues to push the boundaries of the local culinary scene through its farm-to-table freshness and the recent launch of its First Annual Omakase series.

The CRA recognition highlights Tamari’s unique dual-focus: a sushi bar led by Head Chef Richard Yang, a kitchen which specializes in grilled robata skewers and fresh poultry, meat chicken and Asian dishes, and a bar program featuring an unparalleled collection of over 350 international whiskies.
