The
Capital Group Companies, Inc., 333 South Hope Street, Los Angeles, CA, USA,
disclosed on November 9, 2009 that its holding in the share capital of Syngenta
AG has exceeded the notifiable threshold margin of 5% on November 6, 2009 due to
a purchase of Syngenta registered shares. The holding amounts to 5.1718% of the
