AMERICAN AIRLINES REPORTS APRIL TRAFFIC

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines reported an April load factor of 81.3 percent, an increase of 1.2 points versus the same period last year. Traffic decreased 4.7 percent and capacity decreased 6.1 percent year over year.
Domestic traffic decreased 6.1 percent year over year on 8.2 percent less capacity. International traffic decreased by 2.1 percent relative to last year on a capacity decrease of 2.5 percent.
American boarded 7.2 million passengers in April.
