Other Events.

On January 11, 2008, Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group, Inc. (“FBR”) issued a press release announcing that First NLC Financial Services, LLC, FBR’s mortgage origination subsidiary, will liquidate its assets and file a voluntary petition for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. A copy of the press release is furnished herewith and attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
