On Friday August 10, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, Brightpoint, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the record date for the special meeting of BrightPoint shareholders to vote on the previously announced merger agreement with Ingram Micro Inc.

BrightPoint Announces Record Date for Special Meeting of Shareholders

INDIANAPOLIS — August 10, 2012 – Brightpoint, Inc. (“BrightPoint”) (Nasdaq: CELL), a global leader in providing device lifecycle services to the wireless and high-tech industries, today announced that it has established a record date for the special meeting of BrightPoint shareholders to vote on the previously announced proposed merger agreement under which Ingram Micro Inc. (“Ingram Micro”) will acquire BrightPoint. BrightPoint’s shareholders of record at the close of business on August 14, 2012 (the “Record Date”) will be entitled to vote at the special meeting. The BrightPoint board of directors set the date for the special meeting of BrightPoint shareholders to be September 19, 2012 at 9:00am ET at BrightPoint’s corporate headquarters at 7635 Interactive Way, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
