New book helps churches and faith-based nonprofits strengthen financial clarity, accountability, and stewardship through a five-part framework

ABITA SPRINGS, La. - July 27, 2026 - PRLog -- Mia Celino, CPA, has released The Five-Point Alignment Method: 5 Pillars of Faith-Driven Financial Management for Churches and Nonprofits, a practical resource created to help pastors, church leaders, bookkeepers, finance teams, board members, and faith-based nonprofit leaders build stronger financial systems.

Drawing from more than 30 years of church financial management experience, Celino presents a framework built on five essential pillars: vision, budget, processes, review, and financial reporting. Using the analogy of a vehicle, she explains how each area works together to help an organization move toward its God-given destination.

In the book, vision represents the destination, the budget serves as the map, financial processes are the systems under the hood, review functions as routine maintenance, and financial reporting becomes the dashboard that helps leaders understand the organization's financial health and make informed decisions.

Celino writes, "Numbers on a page do not translate into instruments of vision and effectiveness." She contrasts that with the value of a strong financial structure, explaining that clear processes and reports can provide "incredible strength and stability to a church's ministry."

The Five-Point Alignment Method addresses common challenges churches and faith-based organizations face, including unclear budgets, weak financial processes, inadequate internal controls, inconsistent month-end reviews, and financial reports that do not provide meaningful insight.

Rather than presenting financial management as a purely technical function, Celino connects it to ministry purpose and stewardship. "My heart's desire is to see the local church be as effective in its communities as possible," she writes.

The book also helps readers understand how budgeting supports vision. As Celino states, "The budget is there to provide the structure to achieve the vision."

Through practical examples, biblical principles, and plain-language explanations, Celino encourages leaders to move beyond reactive financial management and build systems that support accountability, clarity, and wise decision-making.

The book is especially suited for leaders who may not have formal financial training but recognize the importance of strengthening the systems that support ministry. Readers are guided through questions involving church budgeting, bookkeeping knowledge, donor records, internal controls, month-end review, and financial reporting.

Celino is the founder of Align Consulting Group LLC, an accounting firm that provides consulting and financial management support to churches and faith-based organizations. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Liberty University, where she graduated with High Distinction, and she specializes in nonprofit accounting.

The Five-Point Alignment Method is available in paperback and eBook formats through Amazon and other major book retailers.
