Lincoln Financial a rare gainer in weak sector

Shares of insurer Lincoln Financial are among rare gainers in a broadly lower financial sector in early activity after the firm says it paid down half a billion dollars of oustanding debt and plans to pay off $200 million of commercial paper in the next several weeks.
