Video Message Shared with Kid Scholars Says that "Effort is All"

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - March 23, 2021 - PRLog -- Ontario-born athlete and actress Samantha Win (formerly Samantha Jo) shares an inspirational video message with the participants of Unreasonable Kids College's Scholars Advance Program. The Scholars Advance program focuses on UN SDG Goal #4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education to help  students living in low socio-economic communities master reading and math.

Ms. Win shares her experiences with the Scholars Advance participants to motivate their education pursuit. Ms. Win describes her pursuit of goals, as a double Gold-medalist in the 2006 and 2008 Pan-American Wushu Championships, Bronze medalist in the 2007 World Wushu Championships and competed in the 2008 Olympic Wushu Event in Beijing as part of Team Canada. After her Olympic feat she got her first introduction into the Hollywood entertainment industry. By age 18 and with a filmography that already included "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World", "Sucker Punch", "300: Rise of an Empire", Samantha moved to Los Angeles to further pursue her acting career. It is here that landed her the breakout role of "Kitana" in the Mortal Kombat: Legacy web-series as well as "Car-vex" in the superhero blockbuster: Man of Steel. After being noticed by director Zack Snyder, she has been casted in films such as "Wonder Woman", "Justice League" and the short film "Snow Steam Iron". Win recently wrapped up filming with Zach Snyder on the film "Army of the Dead" starring alongside Dave Bautista. This film will make its debut on Netflix with a May 21, 2021 release date.

Win's inspirational video message helps scholars understand that  "everyone's starting point is not the same, and everyone's journey is not the same." Win continues, "I'm rooting for you, the world is rooting for you. Please keep going. I believe in you."
