Testing Center Opens in Arkansas for Public Safety Job Seekers

By: PRLog

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Feb. 11, 2021 - PRLog -- National Testing Network, Inc. (NTN), the leader in recruitment support and employment test administration for public safety departments, announces a new testing location in Arkansas, in partnership with the The University of Arkansas of Little Rock, located at 2801 South University Avenue; Room 315 in Little Rock.

This new testing location will offer computer-based testing for entry-level firefighters, law enforcement officers, corrections officers, and emergency communications applicants applying for city, county, and state public safety agencies.

NTN's state-of-the-art online testing delivers examinations with video simulations that depict scenarios candidates would actually encounter while working in the position they are applying for. After viewing the scenarios, applicants are asked how they would respond in a particular situation. With online testing, candidates see their score results immediately after completing the test, and public safety departments receive instantaneous score results once exams are completed. NTN provides public safety agencies with the most current applicant pool information and essential test score data so departments can quickly make good hiring decisions. Additionally, NTN's testing model provides an extremely cost effective testing process for departments, resulting in a fraction of the cost of department administered testing.

This testing site is the second NTN location established in Arkansas. "Due to an increased number of available candidates, nation-wide inclusion and equity initiatives, and social distancing restrictions, departments are scrambling to adopt innovative best practices in recruitment and the use of sophisticated testing tools and administration strategies to successfully combat their challenges. Through our Virtual Proctor system, the partnership with UA Little Rock and our other Arkansas testing partner in Springdale, we are thrilled to have additional infrastructure to offer Arkansas public safety departments our recruitment support and test administration services, focused on candidate inclusion and removing candidate barriers," said National Testing Network President, Carl Swander, Ph.D.

"The University of Arkansas of Little Rock is a vital part of the central Arkansas community," said Kimberly Bright, Director of Testing Services at UA Little Rock. "We are excited about this new partnership with National Testing Network and the opportunities it presents. Providing examinations for members of this community is a valuable contribution to community members to improve themselves and the community."
