Mother jailed after forcing daughter to falsely accuse dad of sexual assault

By: Issuewire

Chicago, Dec 28, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - CHICAGO - A loving, dedicated father was subjected to false accusations that he sexually assaulted his daughter - accusations the girl made after being brainwashed by his ex-wife. The dad was exonerated in court.

"This was a gut-wrenching case, one of the worst cases of parental alienation I've handled," says attorney Jeffery M. Leving, who represented the wrongly-accused dad. Leving is outspoken against parental alienation - when one parent badmouths the other parent to their children. Many experts consider parental alienation a form of child abuse. Child psychologists call the consequent behavior - unwarranted fear, disrespect or hostility toward a parent - parental alienation syndrome.

Leving will talk about the case this week on his radio show, the Dads Rights Legal Hour, airing 9-10 a.m. CST Saturday, Jan. 2 on Power 92.3 FM in Chicago.

Leving's client was granted residential custody of his daughter in his divorce. The mother, in an attempt to gain leverage in her pursuit to change custody and terminate her child support obligation, forced their daughter to make false allegations of sexual and physical abuse against her father to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

"The ex-wife's attempt to interfere with the father's relationship with his daughter failed when he turned to me to fight these serious and unfounded accusations," Leving says. "The father faced wrongful incarceration and almost lost his relationship with his daughter. We fought vigorously to prove the allegations against the father were false. We won!"

The mother's manipulation of the daughter led the judge to enter an order prohibiting her from contact with the girl. Even after this order was entered, the mother continued to contact the daughter to goad her into making additional false allegations.

Given the danger and harm the mother had already caused this family, the judge jailed the mother for her continued violations of the no-contact order and for her failure to pay child support to dad in an amount of more than $50,000.

The child is now safe with her father, and the father is now able to live without the fear of being incarcerated based on false accusations.

"This victory, modified for broadcast, brought justice to a wrongly accused dad, and is another example of our mission dedicated to fathers and the protection of their children," Leving says. "I'm thankful for the many men over the years who've found the courage to call me to fight for what counts. It isn't easy, but we do fight, and we do win, and it feels amazing."
