“The stories of Canada’s Top Growing Companies are worth telling at any time, but are especially relevant in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic,” says James Cowan, Editor of Report on Business magazine. “As businesses work to rebuild the economy, their resilience and innovation make for essential reading.”

“Our steady growth in cloud-connected safety technology over the last several years reflects the strength of our team, our revenue model and the value we bring to our customers across the world,” said Cody Slater, CEO and Chairman of Blackline Safety. “As our global communities continue to face challenges caused by COVID-19, we are committed to helping our customers navigate new and emerging workplace safety concerns. Despite the impacts of the pandemic, we continue to see growth resulting from our innovative products and services and plan to leverage our strong market position to further expand into connected worker technologies and data science.”

Just last week, Blackline announced record third quarter revenue of $9.4M for the quarter ended July 31, 2020. The company’s continued growth in total revenue was driven by recurring serve revenue, which jumped 44% over the prior year’s quarter. Additionally, Blackline announced earlier this month the closing of a bought deal private placement for gross proceeds of $36M. This capital will propel the company into its next phase of growth with investments into new core products, its cloud-based platform and its Blackline Vision Data Science offering, among other initiatives.

“Any business leader seeking inspiration should look no further than the 400 businesses on this year’s Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies,” says Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “Their growth helps to make Canada a better place, and we are proud to bring their stories to our readers.”

Alongside other Canada’s Top Growing Companies award winners, Blackline will be featured in the October print Issue of Report on Business and online at www.tgam.ca/TopGrowing. To learn about Blackline Safety and its portfolio of connected safety solutions, visit www.blacklinesafety.com.
