The Great Re-Set Goes Beyond the Pond and Looks Down Stream

Futurist Jack Uldrich is set to speak to a private wealth management firm on the changes taking place in capitalism and beyond.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, September 10, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Even before the pandemic began, global futurist, and best-selling author Jack Uldrich, says, "a great reset was underway."

On Thursday, September 10th, Jack Uldrich will deliver a new virtual presentation to a private wealth management firm focusing on the reset taking place within capitalism, and the renewed emphasis on expanding business practices to include stakeholders as opposed to shareholders alone.

"Stakeholder theory," Uldrich says, "has the potential to be a more generous approach to business because it takes into account CSR--Corporate Social Responsibility." CSR, in turn, encourages companies to consider the interest of all stakeholders when making decisions rather than just the interests of their private shareholders. Stakeholders can range from project managers to subcontractors to team members and customers. The theory goes so far as to imply it is the business managers' ethical duty to ensure the practices that benefit the company do not harm the greater community.

"The great reset," says Uldrich, "like the stakeholder theory takes a wider perspective. If you throw a pebble into a pond, this approach is like watching all of the ripples and seeing where the pebble ends up. Too many pebbles could pollute the pond; too many ripples could cause a flood; when a company shifts from shareholder to stakeholder, a stronger sense of communal accountability is underway. It's a more mindful approach to business. Every action we take has some reverberation. The great reset takes into account how an organization's practices resound both within and 'beyond the pond."

More of Uldrich's thoughts on future-proofing can be heard in this podcast for CBC Technologies.

In his presentation, he will also discuss how innovators are reframing challenges into opportunities in a variety of industries, including energy, retail, and commercial real estate. Additionally, he will explain how an emerging generation of entrepreneurs is challenging long-held assumptions in their quest to reinvent the business of asset management.

As a futurist, Uldrich ultimately believes in leveraging new technologies and platforms that will lead to re-engaging employees and reconnecting with customers to create a more meaningful and sustainable future. As an author and a burgeoning poet, he also seeks to understand how our actions have an impact downstream.

It appears more and more organizations are seeking to learn how to unlearn. As the founder of the School of Unlearning, Uldrich is happy to share what he knows and ponder what he doesn't know. The following week, September 14-18, he has five more speaking engagements on virtual platforms to share his insights.

Uldrich is a renowned global futurist, technology forecaster, best-selling author, editor of the monthly newsletter, The Exponential Executive, and host of the award-winning website, http://www.jumpthecurve.net. He is currently represented by a number of professional speakers' bureaus, including Leading Authorities.
