Get Out! Magazine Hosts Live Streaming Superstar Fundraiser to Help Homeless Youth During Coronavirus Pandemic

Event includes entertainment vets Dionne Warwick, Freda Payne, Sir Ari Gold and CeCe Peniston

 On Friday, May 15, 2020, at 8 p.m. ET, Get Out! Magazine and JEA Productions will present the live streaming benefit event “Get IN! Get Out! Magazine & Friends for the Ali Forney Center.” This fundraiser will help homeless LGBTQ youth who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and face challenges while dealing with homelessness. The event will be streamed live.

Hosted by Honey Davenport of television’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “Get IN” will feature at-home performances and messages of hope from entertainment legends, artists and actors such as Dionne Warwick, Freda Payne, Pia Zadora, CeCe Peniston, Sir Ari Gold, David Hernandez, Narada Michael Walden, Brenda K. The fundraiser’s producer Jason E. Abrams explains why supporting homeless LGBTQ youths is so vital now, especially with the Coronavirus pandemic affecting much of the world, including young people. “I am deeply concerned and recognize that LGBTQ youths who are homeless were at an alarmingly high risk for COVID-19. They need a safe space and place to turn to,” said Abrams. “The Ali Forney Center is where many of these young individuals can be safely housed and fed. The benefit will help the center continue this mission.”
