Small business owners could face jail time as DOJ launches investigation into coronavirus loan program

The U.S. Justice Department has opened an investigation into firms that applied for loans under the Paycheck Protection Program, approved by Congress in April to support businesses hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, and businesses which provided misleading information could face jail sentences, experts say.
