Tomahawk Robotics has been selected to participate in the UK MOD nUAS Experimentation Programme.

MELBOURNE, Fla. - Jan. 7, 2020 - PRLog -- Tomahawk Robotics has been selected to participate in the UK MOD nUAS Experimentation Programme.  The nUAS Experimentation Programme is a multi-spiral approach to trial equipment that will inform future concepts and requirements, specifically for sub 200g UAS. It follows from the UK Army Warfighting Experiment 2018 and is funded by UK Army's Transformation Fund Secretary of State Initiative.

"The Transformation Fund provides the opportunity to look at new ways of rapidly equipping UK armed forces with cutting-edge technologies that could make a real difference in the field." said James Morris, assistant head of delivery at the DE&S Future Capability Group. The nUAS Experimentation Programme will conduct a series of trials in 2020 to evaluate the benefits that robotics technologies could offer to support future UK MOD operations. Trials will be conducted by members of the British Army with the support of the DE&S Future Capability Group to determine the benefits that additional robotic capabilities can bring to the rapidly evolving operational environments faced by UK MOD personnel.

Tomahawk Robotics will be providing its suite of robotics control solutions, Kinesis™ and Mimic™, for this effort. We are very pleased to be part of this team to provide our command and control software to the UK MOD.  "Our software enables the UK MOD to leverage end user devices, such as mobile phones, and situational awareness tools the UK has already invested in alongside readily available UAV platforms to drastically lower the cost and reduce the complexity of using UAS in the battlespace."  said Matt Summer, CTO of Tomahawk Robotics.  Tomahawk Robotics was selected for this effort along with some of the most recognized international aerospace and defense companies.  This award allows for Kinesis products, specifically Kinesis Mobile and Mimic, to be leveraged by the UK MOD for this effort and to be evaluated for broader use by the UK MOD.

Kinesis, enables unified command and control of unmanned systems regardless of the vendor or mobility domain.  From robotic systems in the air, ground or water, Kinesis enables seamless control of the platforms and payloads in an intuitive way.  Common control enables a signification reduction of both user training and user error, ultimately producing a safer, more efficient working environment.  A core element of the Kinesis software stack is the ability to work across different UxV platforms and payloads.  This ability drastically reduces integration costs of new capabilities and custom systems.
