Austin's Wick Marketing Raises the Bar; Earns Six Top Nominations in Prestigious Homebuilding Achievement Competition

Firm earns accolades for dramatic, new master-planned community in Southern California.

AUSTIN, TX, October 03, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Wick Marketing was recognized for its strategic communications, including print, digital and website development for their client, Pardee Homes, and its new community, Skyline, in Santa Clarita, Calif. Skyline was honored as the Master-Planned Community of the Year at the 2019 SoCal Awards presented by the Greater Sales & Marketing Council and Building Industry Association (BIA) of Southern California.

The awards were presented at the SoCal Awards gala Sept. 28 in Anaheim, Calif. A team of industry peers selected the honorees from among 400 marketing and advertising submittals across the Golden State. Fifteen communities vied for Community of the Year. Judges toured each community, covering 700 miles in a two-day period to view each one.

Named for its unending views and scenic hilltop location, Skyline is 30 miles from Los Angeles. With its dramatic canyons and landscape, the area has been the site of many Hollywood movies and television shows. The terrain is rich in precious rocks and minerals and was heralded as the beginning of California's "Gold Rush."

Pardee Homes dedicated 80 percent of the Skyline community to trails and open space. The road base and landscape designs reused tons of rock unearthed during the grading of the land, and native plants were reintroduced. Skyline also uses an innovative, water-efficient irrigation system designed with drip or point irrigation–something not typically found in master-planned communities.

A member of the TRI Pointe Group, Pardee Homes was founded in 1921 and is known for the development of master-planned communities, innovative design, green homebuilding measures and customer-focused processes. Pardee Homes' stunning new development of Skyline epitomizes these practices.

Presented by the Greater Sales and Marketing Councils and Building Industry Association of Southern California, Inc., the SoCal Awards is an annual competition that recognizes all facets of home building and honors builders and their teams in the areas of product design, interior merchandising, graphic design, advertising, internet marketing, individual and builder achievement.
