During the National Day Holiday, Guangzhou will organize nearly 30 theme performances to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which will last for 10 days from September 28 to October 7.

It is reported that the activity of Guangzhou Exhibition and Performance Month of Fine Cultural and Artistic Works will be held at Guangzhou Opera House, Guangzhou Friendship Theatre, Guangdong Arts Theatre and Guangdong Province Puppet Art Theater for 19 consecutive performances. The 11 repertoires staged cover singing and dancing, Cantonese opera, modern drama, acrobatics, puppet, Guangdong music and other art categories.

It is worth mentioning that during the National Day Holiday, preferential ticket prices will be offered for all performances in Guangzhou. According to the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio and Television and Tourism, in October, the public cultural authorities and municipal museums in Guangzhou will organize more than 90 exhibitions and more than 160 activities related to performances, films, lectures and training, workshops, science popularization experience, excellent traditional culture and intangible cultural heritage activities. Nearly 90 festival activities will be held in various scenic spots.

The greatest highlight is the Pearl River parade with the theme of "The Joyous Pearl River Praises the Motherland Respectfully", which will take place from September 28 to October 7. By then, from 20:00 to 21:00 every night, the Pearl River cruises will parade in the Haixinsha waters where the Pearl River landscape axis meets the new central axis of the city. Citizens can enjoy the colourful decorative lighting on both riverbanks and watch the cruises flowing over the Pearl River.
