As obesity rates in America soar, new weight loss drugs are in the offing that offer hope

Only a few obesity drugs generate significant sales, such as Saxenda and Contrave, but there are several promising drug candidates to combat weight coming in the next few years from Novo Nordisk, Sanofi and AstraZeneca. Obesity is one of America's biggest diseases and contributors to mortality, but doctors have been slow to call obesity a disease, and insurance coverage remains skimpy.
