Avaya Partners With Save The Children Announcing a New Device Campaign in Support of Girls’ Educational Programming

Avaya Holdings Corp. (NYSE:AVYA) today announced a partnership with Save The Children, the global humanitarian organization, to support its Center for Girls and Gender Equality through Avaya’s Devices Diversity Campaign.

In the spirit of the US National Diversity Day, Avaya will kick off our Devices Diversity Campaign where for every one of Avaya’s diverse portfolio of multimedia devices sold for the remainder of the year, a contribution will be made to Save the Children’s Center for Girls and Gender Equality.

“At Avaya, we fully embrace and advance a diverse, inclusive global workforce with a culture of belonging that leverages the backgrounds and perspectives of all employees, customers, partners, and communities to cultivate a higher performing organization,” said Becky Carr, Head of Global Marketing, Avaya. “We’re proud to partner with Save the Children with a unique opportunity to have positive social impact through the Girls’ Educational Programming to empower girls to grow up healthy, educated and safe around the world.”

“Save the Children is excited to partner with Avaya on this campaign to further advance gender equality globally,” said Save the Children Associate Vice President of Gender Equality, Yeva Avakyan. “Despite remarkable progress, gender inequality still persists. Worldwide, women and girls face higher rates of violence, poverty and discrimination, which can last a lifetime and limit equal access to education, protection, healthcare and employment. With help from partners like Avaya, we can reach more girls around the world, empowering them to live their lives, speak their minds and determine their own futures.”

Save the Children has prioritized programs to promote gender equality and girls’ empowerment through initiatives like its Every Last Child campaign, which aims to reach the world’s most vulnerable children. Around the world, girls are still more likely than boys to never set foot in a classroom, and one in three women will experience violence in their lifetime. Save the Children envisions a world where all girls and boys are safe from harm, where they are equally heard, valued and cared for. By providing children equal opportunities and access to learning, every girl can realize her full potential.

Avaya’s commitment to corporate responsibility aims to create a positive change in the world through transforming the modern workplace, embracing Avaya technology, inspiring suppliers, and improving the value of customer investments and reducing the cost of ownership for communications technology. Avaya supports education, humanitarian, and environmental projects around the world through their Month of Giving program and other corporate responsibility programs.
