This year, Accountants' Liability 2018: The Professional in an Uncertain World offers new panels that will address the increasingly urgent issue of cybersecurity, deconstruct the administrative litigation process, and explore major GAAP and GAAS issues and the potential exposure they present while offering practical tips on managing them. A faculty consisting of PCAOB and SEC senior staff members and in-house counsel from a broad range of firms will lead these timely sessions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from keynote speaker PCAOB Chairman Willian Duhnke III who will address the latest developments and priorities at this important agency.
Topics to be addressed include:
- Up-to-date perspectives on PCAOB and SEC priorities and policies on inspection and enforcement
- Significant shifts in accounting and auditing standards
- The landmark decisions in the long-running Colonial Bank litigation and their implications
- Preventing and limiting liability
