Mattress Firm bought by South Africa’s Steinhoff for $2.4 billion

South African furniture retailer Steinhoff International Holdings NV has agreed to buy Mattress Firm Holding Corp. for about $2.4 billion in cash, a deal that would mark its entry into the U.S. market.
