Robert J. Becerra Presents on a Panel at the International Litigation, Arbitration & Transactions Conference

MIAMI - March 30, 2016 - PRLog -- Robert J. Becerra, Principal of Becerra Law, P.A., presented on a panel entitled "International Trade Compliance for the Business Lawyer" at the Florida Bar International Law Section's International Litigation, Arbitration & Transactions Conference (ILAT). The event was held at the Conrad Hotel in Miami on February 26, 2016.

The panel discussed international trade compliance issues pertaining to the  Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, anti-money laundering, food, drug and cosmetic law and other recent developments in international trade and Customs law. The panelists included the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Department of Homeland Security in Miami; Peter Quinter, Esq.; Edgar Asebey, Esq.; and Gloria Salcedo Padula, Compliance Counsel for Avon Corporation.

Mr. Becerra was also the Co-Chair of the ILAT for 2016. His practice focuses on civil and criminal litigation pertaining to international trade, including exports, imports, cargo loss, trade-based money laundering, export enforcement, Customs and FDA seizures and investigations, and civil forfeitures.  He graduated with honors from the University of Miami School of Law, and is Board Certfied in International Law by the Florida Bar. He has also been recognized in SuperLawyers, The South Florida Legal Guide, and The Best Lawyers in America.
