AGCO Announces 2015 Supplier Awards Recipients

AGCO (NYSE: AGCO), a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery and solutions, presented six supplier awards during its third annual AGCO North America Supplier Day held near its global headquarters in Duluth, Georgia recently. The event served as an opportunity to honor six suppliers for their superior performance and contribution to AGCO’s success in the areas of direct materials, indirect materials & services, and logistics.

AGCO’s leadership shared with attendees updates concerning the current industry and business conditions, supply chain advancements and their appreciation for the supply base, especially the top performers. Robert Crain, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Americas, commented on the overall agricultural industry and highlighted that the underlying fundamentals for the industry remained strong. Josip Tomasevic, Global Vice President and Chief Purchasing Officer, provided updates on several key activities and expectations for AGCO’s global supply base and reviewed ASPIRE - the global supplier performance management system.

Michael Clem, Vice President North America Purchasing & Logistics, along with John Navarra, Director North America Purchasing, highlighted the importance of AGCO’s Supplier Awards ceremony as a celebration of outstanding performance by its partners in the areas of corporate sustainability, collaboration & innovation, quality, logistics, indirect materials & services, and direct material supplier of the year. At the same time these suppliers were also recognized for their commitment to AGCO’s core values: accountability, integrity, respect, team spirit and transparency.

AGCO 2015 Supplier of the Year winners are:

2015 Sustainability Award - East Penn Manufacturing of Lyon Station, Pennsylvania, represented by Jeffrey Coleman – Vice President of Sales, OEM Batteries, Jason Brunner - Account Executive, and Linda Koch – Sr. Environmental Specialist. Since 1946, East Penn has been an industry leading manufacturer, designer, and recycler of world-class quality lead-acid batteries.

2015 Quality Award - Straub Metal, of Ashley Pennsylvania, represented by Doug Straub, President and John Parsons, National Sales Manager. Straub Metal is a Worldwide Distributor of Stainless Steel. Founded in 1970 as a Northeastern US distributor of Type 409 Stainless Steel, Straub Metal International now “Services the World” with Type 409, 409 Aluminized, 439, 441 and 18CrCb Stainless Steel.

2015 Collaboration Award – Cope Plastics, Inc., of Alton, Illinois, represented by John Lee, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Josh Kuhnash, Vice President Operations, and Jon Gregory, Director of Strategic Accounts. Cope Plastics supplies AGCO with fabricated plastic sheet, rod, and tube. Starting with one small office in St. Louis, Missouri in 1946, Cope Plastics has continually been recognized by industrial firms as the dependable source for plastic stock shapes and fabricated machine parts.

2015 Indirect Materials & Services Award – FCA LLC, Moline, Illinois, represented by Brian Jones, Business Development Manager. Since 1985, FCA LLC has been providing state-of-the-art packaging design and testing capabilities.

2015 Logistics Award – Doug Bradley Trucking, Inc. of Salina, Kansas, represented by Doug Bradley – Owner / President, Jamie Bradley – Vice President and Jesse Bradley – Director, Fleet Operations. Doug Bradley Trucking Inc. provides fleet operations and warehousing support operations to AGCO and earned the award based on their superior support of AGCO’s inbound operations.

2015 North America Supplier of the Year – Baldor Electric Company of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, represented by Randy Colip – Executive Vice President of Sales and Robert S. Nemecek – Vice President of North American Mechanical Sales. Since 1920, Baldor has been recognized as the industry leading manufacturer of electric motors and mechanical power transmission products in the world.
