Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company Named a Top Performer

Farm Bureau Financial Services (FBFS) announces its affiliated life insurer, Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company (FBLIC), has once again been named to Ward’s 50® Top Performing Life and Health Insurers list for 2014. This recognizes the company for outstanding financial results over the five-year period 2009-2013. This marks the 14th time the company has been named to Ward’s 50® top performer list.

Nearly 800 life-health insurance companies are monitored to identify the top performers. The objective is to compare the performance of the Top 50 as a group with the industry average. The Ward’s 50 outpaced the industry average in several areas including five year policyholder surplus growth (42.5% compared to 25.3%) and net premium income growth (22.7% compared to 16.6%).

“Most insurers saw improvements in both financial returns and overall premium levels,” explained Jeff Rieder, Partner and Head of Ward Group. “In clear signs of continued optimism, our research shows considerable investments are being made in technology, product enhancements and identifying ways to deliver a better customer experience.”
