United Health Products, Inc.: Epic Wound Care Inc.'s HemoStyp™ Listed by Industry Publication Among the "Best Products Evaluated During 2012"; United Health Products Adds New Member to Board of Directors

United Health Products, Inc. (OTCQB: UEEC.PK) and its wholly owned subsidiary, Epic Wound Care, Inc., which develops and markets products and technologies in the healthcare sector, today announced that Epic Wound Care's hemostatic gauze, which is registered and branded in the USA under the trademark HemoStyp™, has been featured in the Clinicians Report® for the second time this year. The report is a published scientific testimonial that features products which have met the criteria and approval of the dental community. The Clinicians Report® is a 35-year-old industry publication serving as an informative tool to the dental industry with distribution to over 10,000 dental care providers. It features new products with published test results that have been tested and approved by dentists and the dental community. In the December issue HemoStyp™ was listed among the "Best Products Evaluated During 2012" with 83% of the evaluators stating that they would recommend the product. Mr. Knight brings to the company years of business experience and knowledge of the Company's HemoStyp™ product. Nate was a principal in Med Spring, Inc., the company that originally developed the HemoStyp™ gauze product, later acquired by United Health Products, Inc. Mr. Knight, age 64, has been a public accountant for over 30 years, has owned and operated his own accounting business, has previously held a Series 7 license, and is currently employed as an internal auditor with Prime Alliance Bank. Dr. Forman stated, "Mr. Knight, with his years of accounting experience and particular knowledge of the product as well as its potential applications, is a welcome addition to the Board of Directors."
