On
October 27, 2005, Helmerich & Payne, Inc. (“Registrant”) issued a press release announcing,
among other things, the Registrant’s plan to operate 16 new drilling rigs for three customers of
Registrant. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99 to this Report on Form 8-K.
