On August 18, 2009, Ascent Media Corporation (the Company) issued a press release (the Earnings
Release) regarding certain financial results of the Company for the period ended June 30, 2009. A

intend for this Item 2.02 or Exhibit 99.1 to be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the
