ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS.
On February 24, 2005, Alteon Inc. issued a press release announcing that it has temporarily suspended enrollment of patients in its ongoing clinical trials of alagebrium pending additional preclinical data and discussions with the Food and Drug Administration.
