Item 8.01 Other Events.
On May 26, 2016, Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. (“ETE” or the “Partnership”) issued a press release announcing that (i) on May 20, 2016, it filed under seal its Affirmative Defenses and Counterclaim in a lawsuit brought by The Williams Companies, Inc. (“Williams”) against ETE in the Delaware Chancery Court and (ii) on May 24, 2106, the District Court of Dallas County, Texas granted a motion to dismiss a related lawsuit brought by Williams against Kelcy Warren. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
